Day 10

Update to the update: Got my cheat .. it was aMaZiNg!!
Update: On my way to get a cheat!! Ahhhh. I feel like I am doing something real bad!! haha!!


Today was a good day. I ate so good up until dinner. I didn't cheat, but for dinner I had an extra serving of meatloaf and squash and sweet potatoes. I went to walmart today and I almost called you Tanna. I wanted something sweet soooooo bad!! All the foods on the shelf were calling my name. I tortured myself and went down the ice cream aisle. I am debating about my cheat. I don't know whether I want cold stone ice cream or friendly's ice cream. Decisions decisions. Boot camp again tomorrow.

Day 9

Today did not start off so good. I woke up at 5:30. Why do you ask is that a problem? Because boot camp starts at 5:30. My alarm never went off, my phone died in the middle of the night. I thought I had charged it, but apparently not. So I got up still angry and called our boot camp instructor and left her a message. I got there at about 6:15, and she let me go to the boot camp that was offered at 6:45. The only downfall to this is that I couldn't shower before I went to work today and I smelled awful!! BUT I was so very thankful. Recently, I have had this fear of the scale. It's hard for me to wait till Saturday to just weigh in once a week, so I told myself I would weigh in Wednesdays and Saturdays. I am very nervous about tomorrow because I feel as if I am hungry ALL the freakin time!! But, its good food. Lots of fruit and veggies. So I guess I will see for myself tomorrow, but I will not post any weight loss news until Saturday. So, I am wishing myself good luck for the rest of the week. Working out in the morning last week was a good thing, but this week I feel as if I should be doing more if I have free time. IDK, I am conflicted. 


P.S. I think I may use a cheat. I want ice cream!!

Day 6 and 7 and 8

My body hurts real real bad today from working out!! I am sore all over, and it is a horrible feeling. This weekend was good, temptation was thrown at me all around!! So so hard to say no to junk food, but I did. I am obsessed with fruit lately. Yum Yum!! Cantaloupe is my new favorite. It was so very hard to wake up this morning, but I am guessing it is because this weekend I got to sleep till my body woke up. The weather is great here these past few days. I even turned on the air conditioning for the first time since like September! 

Now, I must go edit my last long paper due this semester, and attempt to write a 1 page paper. Then I will be done with school until finals. Coming home so soon!!

Day 5 and weigh in

Days 5 went well. During boot camp we had to do a series of timed challenges such as run a mile, jump rope, and push ups along with our usual work out. Man did she kick our butt. I do not run, but I am hoping to take off 2-4 min of my 16.21 min mile. I jumped rope 64 times and did 14 girl push ups!! Next time I post these I hope that everything has improved. I was soooo hungry yesterday. I took apples with my lunch, but they looked funny once I cut them up and I didnt get to eat them because I threw them away instead. 

Good luck to those who are weighing in today!! I am down 3.6 lbs this week!! 

Now off to write papers. I have 2 left, then I have to start studying for finals!! Please pray about my internship situation. I know that I will be in Texas, bought my ticket today!! My advisor just needs to approve my internship.

Day 4

Another day down!! Yippeee!! This morning was extra long!! I had class this morning and I was sooo stinkin tired!! This is the first time this week that I have felt the effects of waking up at 4:30 am. Yep, thats right .. I Kristi am waking up at 4:30 to work out. It's funny because by the afternoon I have forgotten that I worked out and I find myself thinking "it's time to go work out" BUT then I get sooooo happy because I have already worked out for the day!! My eating is going really well!! I REALLY REALLY want a Sprinkles cupcake!! BUT its only located in Dallas, Texas!! So maybe when I get home for the summer I will get one and use a cheat!! If you haven't tried a Sprinkles cupcake they are so Amazing!! You possibly may need to use a cheat to go and try it!! 

I should be receiving a phone call next week to schedule a phone interview for the internship I REALLY REALLY want!! Please pray that I get it/God's will be done in the situation. I have decided that Texas is where I am meant to be this summer. It has taken a lot of prayer and thought. I have an interview for one here in NY that is paid over the summer, but I just don't think this is where I need to be for the summer.

Day 3

EDIT: I got my burrito, not from where I wanted but a nearby place. It was not amazing. I ate half and threw the other away. I am now enjoying a fruit bar.

No boot camp today, but man does my body ache. Yesterday went well, just really busy. I have 3 papers due next week, so that has been what is consuming my time. I have been eating well, but every time I pass Dunkin Donuts (which I don't even like) I feel like I want one. My current craving is a burrito, a bbq chicken burrito! Yum-o! I didn't work out this morning, slept in till 8!! It was amazing. Waking up at 4:30 has been relatively easy though so I am not dreading it as much. I am kind of looking forward to boot camp tomorrow.

Tomorrow is a new day! I am thinking that I may take the unpaid internship in Texas. I feel as if that is where I need to be.

Day 1

My alarm went off at 4:30 and I got out of bed by 4:45 to get ready for an hour long boot camp. It was tough, I can feel it all over my body. I wasn't the fastest runner of the group, but I made it. My head hurt so bad when I got home, I didn't know whether to use the hour before I had to go to work to nap or what not. I made it through the day without a nap and will just be going to bed on time. I ate particularly well today, except the extra serving or so of sunchips I stayed on track. Healthy pasta, sandwich, salad, cereal, apple, banana, grapes, and cantaloupe! I got ALL my fruits and veggies in! Day 1 is always the hardest in starting a new lifestyle and I made it through day 1. I may have wanted some cheesecake soft serve, BUT I resisted!! 

On to Day 2!!

42 Day Challenge/Boot Camp

Tomorrow is a new day! Tomorrow I start a workout boot camp and a 42 day challenge! I have dedicated myself to lose 10 pounds by June 1st! The thing that makes it different this time is that I am accountable to 39 other people. YIKES!! If I do not pull my weight then the team suffers! I am nervous but excited! This week I have 1 presentation that I have to do and then all those silly papers (3 15-page, and 1 1-page)! I can't wait for the semester to be over! 

Please pray about my internship situation. I just wish I knew where I was going to be this summer!

42 Day Challenge

Seeing Tanna's post today was perfect timing!! 

There are 42 days until summer starting April 20th, so we have 42 days to get in shape and start leading healthier lives!! I am going to try and post everyday about how I am feeling and what may have tempted me- ha! 

Here are the guidelines:

1. No sweets.
2. Fried foods are out. (they are killers to your workouts)
3. No more than 20 ounces of coke/soda a day. That means NO larges. Even from Sonic. That means you gotta get the medium people.
4. 3-6 workouts a week. The more you do, the more results.

5. Drink at least 4 bottles of water a day.

But the good news is .. 
*You get 6 "cheat eats" in that 42 days. (Yes, I made that word up. It works though.) That is ONE per week. Because you can't give yourself nothing to look forward to. So if one day you NEED, and I mean need that snickers...then go for it. But that takes away one of your cheat eats. Or if everyone goes out for burgers and fries...then dig in. You need to give yourself rewards. But only 6. After that you will NOT see the results you would like to see.

If you need motivation and want to do this with some wonderful people who will help motivate you then come on!! You know you want to do it!! Ha! Our health is so important and sometimes we take for granted the bodies that God has given us to take care of by putting unhealthy food in our bodies all the time!! and I will be done!! I will have made it 1 year through graduate school in NY!! I still do not know where I will be doing my internship this summer, but hopefully so soon!!

I took this picture of my brother and he said it was his favorite and he wanted it framed in our house. But I know that it could be a lot better before it is framed or printed for that matter. I am just not sure what to do. I think maybe the color could be clearer, I don't know. I am really new to photography.

This weeks contest is a My Friend and I and as soon as I saw that I knew just the right picture to enter!! It just sums up the relationship my friend Erin and I have!! She came all the way to NY from Texas to visit me for Thanksgiving and we went on many roadtrips, saw Niagara Falls, got lost, slept in the car during a massive snow storm .. you name it we did it!! Memories that will last forever!!
